Multiples: Making the Shoes

I have absolutely slacked off during the holidays. Also things haven’t gone exactly to plan on the shoe front. I managed to get a good few layers on my latex moulds and got them off my Styrofoam shapes and cleaned up, the pva glue I used as a sealant kind of stuck onto the latex so needed peeled and scrubbed off. I didn’t realise at the time that because the shoes had a texture to them the moulds had a texture and when the UTEE was poured in it would take on this texture and not be the smooth glassy plastic of my test mould. I spent a really long time melting and pouring making sure the condoms were suspended throughout the shoes in layers but when I peeled the latex would off I was so heartbroken. Im going to try and stay positive about the whole thing and I don’t have the time to start the process all over again, its just really frustrating that something I spent so much time on isn’t how I wanted it to be. I think the shoes will work fine on the display I want to make but I don’t know if they’ll make it to Edinburgh.
